Yesterday was one of those days that you had to soak in!




The weather was wonderful not TOO hot and a lovely breeze. These are pics of my view as I laid outside while Caity played in her little pool and rode her 4 wheeler around the yard.




It was one of those days that make you grateful for everything and you feel a connection to entire planet! I love days like that!!

Last night we had a great lesson on the 6 B's and how they pertain to Visiting Teaching.
A wonderful program the women of the church participate in, where Sisters are assigned 3-4 other sisters and they go visit each month

I think they are just plain good advise, no matter what area of your life you apply them!

Part of the program was we all "earned" our antenna, so we could be Bee's, it was so cute a group of women siting in an amphitheater with antenna!! And of course as soon as I got home our own little resident bug could not wait to get her hands on my antenna! :)

Publix Palooza!!!

Grocery grab~ Publix

My latest grocery finds!

8~4 packs of yogurt, 6 cans of soup, 3 bags of organic frozen fruit, 1 bottle of Palmolive, 2 pkgs of lunch meat, 2 pkgs bacon, 1 box of Texas toast, 1 large bag of twix!

I have to add that I splurged on a few items this time, Palmolive~ we used Palmolive at home when I was a kid. I love it and prefer to use it so I spent 1.24 on it with sales and coupon, Twix~ for Beth to take to school for treats for her class ( she created a very clever clue game for her class to play), I don't usually buy bacon but it was half off and I had a $.75 coupon so up in the freezer it goes for beans and such!

Bonus!! I love the YO plus yogurt and it was .25 a 4 pack woohoo!!!

I have been blessed (Thank you Pam and Dad!) to be able to see some of natures amazing beauty these last few years; The Grand Canyon, Yellow Stone and many wonderful places in UT. However I tend to neglect the beauty that is around me at home. Today a group of friends from church, Elizabeth and I took a short drive and hiked at a local park. We found beauty, friendship and wonder at the beautiful earth Heavenly Father has gifted us with. I am so grateful for the beauty around me and the opportunity I had to share it with good friends and my daughter. My goal this summer~ to find more things for my kids and I to enjoy close to home.

I love a trip to the grocery store where I save MORE than I spend!! And three times this week I have been able to do it!! Here is tonight's Haul~



1 bottle~Snuggle fabric softener, 4 boxes ~Snuggle sheets, 2 bottles~ Arm&Hammer laundry detergent, 3~4pks Dannon yogurt (.40 cents each), 1~6pk Yoplait yogurt (.29 cents), 2~6 pk Danimal yogurt smoothie, 1 ~4pk Danimal yogurt, 1~4pk fiber one yogurt (FREE), 2~2 cup pkgs cheese, 1 gal milk, 4 cans of Ravioli, 1~4pk pudding (FREE), 2 pkg Chips Ahoy (1 FREE), 6~ Yakisoba noodles, 1 cont parm cheese, 1 loaf bakery sour dough bread, 1~2lt Mnt Dew (FREE), and last but not least 2~pkgs of Hershey Kisses (to stock freezer for my daily chocolate fix!)

I also got 2 free movie tickets~ A value of 16.00 at least!!! Woo hoo ~ date night!!!

I know that looks like a crazy hodge podge of stuff, but I now have yogurt for the next month, yes I do go to the back and get the furthest dated out so it can live with us a while. I also have completed my 3 months of laundry requirements for storage. I was able to get the kids some treats; pudding, and cookies. Some quickie lunches for Caity and Beth (they love the noodes????) And I got cheese, we can always use cheese!!

I have to say I love coupons! It's like going to the dollar store at the grocery store!!

And Bonus~ the cashier that I have had the last two Saturday nights obviously does not like coupons. So the plan~ EVERY Saturday night for the near and perhaps far future, she will see my smiling face, and nothing but kindness!!! ;)

Treasures Found......

Today in the on going effort to clean up and out my house, I came across pictures that I had forgotten I had!



These very dusty, grimy and spider web encased boxes held all this...........



I found my Mom's senior picture, my senior pictures, pictures of my brother at the birth of his second daughter, pictures of my children from birth through all the years of their lives.



It was like Christmas!




Each box held more and more pictures and even school work that my children had done.

I can't wait until I can get every thing scanned in and share! It makes me realize that we have a beautiful family, I am so grateful for each and every one of these pictures that are a moment in time that allows me to remember, smile and realize how blessed we have been.

Coupons...Gotta love 'em!

Here is my haul from Kroger tonight~




8 boxes of cereal, 1 bag of chips, 3 containers of whole dates, 4- 2 cup bags of shredded cheese, 1 pkg of Hebrew Nat. beff hot dogs, 8 bags of frozen veggies, 3 dozen eggs, 4 boxes of granola bars, 1 bottle of fresh salad dressing, 4 containers of cottage cheese, 1 bottle of saline spray, and last but not least, 1 dove candy bar (not pictured because it's gone! Caity~bug grabbed it before I got in the door good!)

That is 58% Woohoo!!

Also made a quick run to Publix and got 6 lbs of unsalted butter for only $9.00! That's $1.50 a pound!!

While there is not much to make a meal out of in the picture, my storage shelves are beginning to bulge! I love knowing that I can feed my family in a pinch and maybe a few neighbors too!

The windows of Heaven have opened and Heavenly Father has indeed blessed our home!
